Ulend is 14.1 hands high and weighs about 1200 pounds with 9 inch cannons. He is a draft type Fjord horse, but is very proportional and correct. Ulend has an excellent disposition and outstanding primitive markings that he passes on to his get. Ulend has received a blue ribbon in his conformation test at the 2003 Fjord evaluations in Ohio. In 2004, Ulend received a second level silver medallion at the La Crosse evalutations for his performance tests in Intro English Riding and Intro Driving. In 2007, he received a red ribbon in advanced driving and received a fourth level gold medallion at the Herndon evaluations. In 2008, Ulend received an 81 and a blue ribbon in conformation and movement. Ulend has numerous halter and performance championships at both Fjord and all breed shows. Ulend has 15 progeny so far, with several more on the way. All of his progeny have his great disposition and most have a lot of bone. Three of Ulend's progeny, GKF Rakel, DC Bayshore Hildegard, and DC Bayshore Bjorgard are more refined, medium type Fjords.
